So it begins! Launching my new Aviators Lounge spot, a hub for fellowaviation lovers!

Welcome aboard, my fellow aviation loving friends! I'm creating this site to specifically feature spotlight aviators I'm meeting, both in my day to day and through this wild world called social media.

I have found that following others online allows me to broaden my exposure to the exciting world of aviation. I learn and find myself inspired more through exposure of others pictures and information shared. I love when that happens!

I find genuine enjoyment in hearing other pilots stories, which has prompted me to target 5 questions I will use to interview and blog post their responses on this site. I'm excited about this Aviators Lounge because I get to learn more about fellow lovers of aviation and also get to share that story with you! Who knows what kind do awesome connections you will make here, perhaps connect with another at an FBO, learn about a new spot, new site, new tip & more!

It dawned on me recently that the reason I like to hear the cool down to earth pilots stories are because each story is filled with the passion they feel about aviation. In person, their eyes light up, hands may get animated... Over emails the words, even though typed, still sonic boom! That passion & excitement is plausible. There isn't a lot in the status quo day to day that compares. Those who fly  just get one another, no one has to explain why they love flying. I don't know about you, but when I mingle with people who don't fly it's clear they don't get it. That's ok because we know most people don't fly. However, for me it is truly a great feeling to feel that kind of unspoken connection with others who share a unique love for something the average bear does not... A love and desire to lift away from the earth, using skills and knowledge gained to  aviate!

I hope you make some real connections through Aviators Lounge. The pilot community is a small world & gosh darn it our stories of flight are quite interesting!;-)
